Cakewalk has announced the Minimoog Tribute Expansion Pack for Rapture and Rapture LE ($49.95). This new release was created by Craig Anderton in honor of Bob Moog''s extraordinary work in music synthesis. It uses Rapture''s advanced engine and blends classic Minimoog sounds with modern synthesis techniques.

The Minimoog Tribute Expansion Pack does more than emulate sounds—it offers sampled source oscillators from the Minimoog analog synth that were then turned into sfz single and multisamples. According to the manufacturer, the Pack is a great combination of analog source waveforms and Rapture's advanced synthesis capabilities. The package also includes two informational videos, featuring a photo gallery of the Minimoog used by Anderton and the story behind the programs.

A portion of the profits will be donated to the Bob Moog Foundation, which is dedicated to archiving and preserving the inventor's research.
