UltimateSoundBank has released EthnicBoomBox ($99), a collection of 5000 ethnic loops and 100 ethnic instruments in Apple Loops format, for use in Apple GarageBand, Logic, and Soundtrack. EthnicBoomBox has sounds from Africa, Asia, and Europe, including the Balkans, Ireland, Indonesia, Spain, and around the Mediterranean. The instrument list includes the shakuhachi, jubus, Arabic violins, baglamas, bouzouki, saz, and many percussion instruments.

The loop section features ethnic phrases on fretted instruments (mandoline, pipa, bass), strings, wind instruments (bombarde, Irish flute, bagpipe), and chromatic percussion, as well as voice effects from different countries.
