EastWest has announced the availability of all three Pro XP (Expansion) versions of the EastWest/Quantum Leap Symphonic Orchestra series. The Pro Expansion packages add 400 new instruments and articulations to each original library.

EWQL Symphonic Orchestra Platinum and Platinum Pro XP feature 24-bit samples that were recorded from three phase-locked mic positions. The library includes chromatic sampling, with 138 GB of samples, release trails, QLegato, and a bonus Steinway B Grand Piano is included. (QLegato, introduced in EWQLSO Pro XP, is a new technology that sustains notes extracted from real performances to enable you to play smooth, connected lines, at fast or slow speeds, without a separate software program.) The Platinum Pro XP upgrade is $2,995, and the Platinum standard is $1,495.

EWQL Symphonic Orchestra Gold and Gold Pro XP features 16-bit samples, one mic position, chromatic sampling, 36 GB of samples, release trails, and QLegato, as well as all instruments and articulations that were not included in the original Gold Edition from the original Platinum Edition. Included is the bonus Steinway B Grand Piano. The Gold Pro XP upgrade is $995, and the Gold Standard is $495.

EWQL Symphonic Orchestra Silver and Silver Pro XP has 16-bit samples, one mic position, 5.4 GB of samples, and QLegato. The Silver Pro XP upgrade is $295, and Silver Standard is $195.
