Digidesign is shipping DV Toolkit 2 (Mac/Win; $1,295), a collection of tools for using Pro Tools LE in a post-production environment. DV Toolkit 2 includes the TL Space Native Edition convolution reverb, the DINR LE intelligent noise reduction plug-in, the Synchro Arts VocALign Project time-alignment plug-in, DigiBase Pro file management tool, DigiTranslator 2.0 for importing and exporting projects to and from video editing applications, and the Pro Tools MP3 option for exporting mixes as MP3 files.

DV Toolkit 2 also lets you expand Pro Tools LE sessions to 48 mono or stereo tracks at up to 96 kHz. The package also adds a selection of post production-specific functions, many of which were previously available only with Pro Tools HD software, such as the Replace Region and Fit to Marks commands, the Scrub Trim tool, Export Session as Text, Continuous Scroll mode, the Universe window, Automation snapshots, and Enhanced Import Session Data features.
