Yamaha Unveils the Tyros2

By | Thu, 13 Oct 2011

Yamaha has unveiled the Tyros2 ($4,095) arranger workstation. The 61-key instrument comes with 4 MB of storage, but offers up to 1 GB of sample playback capability, with support for WAV and AIFF files. Additional improvements enable Tyros2 to function as part of a computer-based music production system. The instrument includes USB MIDI ports and the ability to connect to peripheral storage devices via USB.

With Yamaha's broadband Internet Direct Connection feature, song data and content can be downloaded directly from the Internet. The onboard VGA display screen can be mirrored to an RGB/Video output allowing Tyros2 to display functions directly to an external computer monitor.

The keyboard action has been redesigned to be faster, smoother, and more responsive. Yamaha says the Tyros2 will be available in November, 2005. For more information, visit Yamaha.com.
