Sennheiser Introduces e 912

By | Wed, 25 Jan 2006

Sennheiser has introduced the e 912, a condenser boundary microphone designed for speech, vocals, and acoustic instruments (grand pianos, in particular). The pre-polarized mic has a half-cardioid pick-up pattern and a frequency response of 20 Hz to 20 kHz. The mic can handle a maximum sound pressure level of 136 dB.

A rubber plate on the underside of the e 912 ensures that vibrations are not transmitted to the mic. The mounting slots on the plate allow you to securely fasten the mic to a stage, a conference table, or a lectern. The mic weighs approximately 12 ounces.

The preamplifier electronics are integrated into the microphone and the gold-plated XLR connector is surrounded by the enclosure so that the connection isn't compromised. The e 912 is available in two colors—cream white and black. For more information, visit Sennheiser USA online.
