DUY Releases DaD Tape for RTAS, AU, VST, and MAS

By | Mon, 12 Feb 2007

Now available in RTAS, AU, VST, and MAS formats, DUY's DaD Tape (Mac; approximately $388) plug-in features real analog tape sound; physical modelling of four tape machines, including an old vintage machine with valve circuitry, a transistor-based machine from the late 1960s, and an operational amplifier-based machine from the 1970s; simulation of three common noise reduction systems; proprietary noiseless-tape mode; and switchable tape speed.

According to the manufacturer, the plug-in rounds off peak transients and adds warmth to electronic and acoustic instruments—either individually or by sections or submixes—and is suitable for percussive sounds and mastering complete mixes.

Now shipping, DaD Tape is available on its own or as part of a DUY native bundle. Click here for Dad Tape demos.
