Cakewalk has released a free update to its Rapture wavetable synthesizer.

Rapture 1.1 features Native Windows Vista support; Universal Binary support for AU, VSTi, and RTAS (Digidesign Pro Tools 7.3 compatible); standalone mode; engine optimization for faster load times and reduced memory usage; a multiple stage DSP section that allows the repetition of DSP transforms; six new DSP transforms; tempo-synced envelope generators; step generator functionality; 50 Rapture programs by ProSounds and B Rock; and more.

The 1.1 update is available as a free download for registered customers at www.cakewalk.com.
