Line 6 has announced the Micro Spider ($199.99) battery-powered modeling amplifier.

Weighing just seven pounds, the Micro Spider features four Spider III amp models, an acoustic guitar model, six Smart Control effects (with reverb, chorus, and tap delay), and a chromatic tuner. It is powered by six C batteries, has a 6.5-inch speaker, and has a POD 2.0-style direct output. According to Line 6, the Micro Spider is ideal for practicing with headphones and recording direct.
