Metric Halo is shipping version 4 of Mobile I/O. Free of charge to all existing users, the new version is available as a software/firmware/driver update that enhances the capabilities of all Mobile I/O hardware.

Version 4 introduces MIOConsoleConnect, which provides integration of Mobile I/O hardware with every Mac-based DAW, or any plug-in host on the platform. Implemented as AU, VST, and RTAS plug-ins, MIOConsoleConnect directly integrates the MIOConsole control system with the chosen host.

To go along with this release, Metric Halo has published Web-based tutorial videos, CoreAudio host application tips, and quick-start guides to help users get more out of their Mobile I/O hardware.
