PreSonus Audio Electronics is shipping the FireStudio Lightpipe (Mac/Win).

The FireStudio Lightpipe is a 24-bit, 96 kHz lightpipe to FireWire computer recording system with 32 inputs and 32 outputs. It allows you to convert up to 32 channels of ADAT or SMUX optical lightpipe I/O via FireWire, which provides a multichannel computer interface for digital mixers, A/D/A converters, or ADAT recorders.

The FireStudio Lightpipe also features JetPLL jitter elimination technology for tight synchronization; Word Clock I/O; MIDI I/O; balanced TRS Stereo main outputs with volume control; a headphone amplifier with volume control; and LED input metering. The unit works with Steinberg Cubase, Apple Logic, Cakewalk Sonar, MOTU Digital Performer, and more.
