Alesis is shipping the IO|26 (Mac/Win; $599) and IO|14 (Mac/Win; $499) FireWire Audio/MIDI interfaces, which feature DICE II Jitter Elimination Technology (JET); Cirrus converters; high definition, transformerless mic preamps with NeutriK connectors; and compatibility with most DAW software.

Both interfaces offer up to 24-bit, 192 kHz recording, as well as flexible, routable Hardware Direct Monitoring with the HDM Control panel software. They are also expandable: the IO|26 comes with 8 analog mic/line inputs which can be expanded to 24 inputs using 2 ADAT Lightpipe inputs; and the IO|14 comes with 4 analog inputs, expandable to 14 inputs using 1 ADAT input.

The IO|26 and IO|14 ship with Steinberg Cubase LE software.
