Fishman and American Songwriter magazine are teaming up to offer a lucky singer-songwriter the chance to win a 10 to 12 show Coffee House Tour of the Northeast United States.
The Grand Prize also includes the cost of a Nashville booking agent to handle tour scheduling, a $1500 travel budget and a free Fishman SA220 Solo Performance System. Fishman will also feature the winner in a special SA220 print and online advertisement scheduled to run later in the year.
American Songwriter magazine will also run a Q&A feature story on the winner and provide daily blog coverage of the tour from American.Songwriter.com.
Fishman and American Songwriter will promote the contest via print, their websites and social networking platforms, email lists and the network of singer-songwriters at AmericanSongspace.com.
The contest with launch July 2nd before Summer NAMM in Nashville and run until August 10th with the winner chosen by August 17th. The tour will launch in October in a North East location to be determined based on the winner’s location.
Proposed tour stops include the Time Warp Tea Room in Knoxville, TN; Duke Coffeehouse in Durham, NC; 49 West Coffee House in Annapolis, MD; Living Room in NYC; The Red Room @ Café 939 in Boston, MA; Kerouac Café in Columbus, OH; Common Grounds in Lexington, KY and several other well known venues in the Northeastern U.S.
