NewBay Media has announced that Gino Robair has rejoined Electronic Musician as Technical Editor. Robair takes over duties from Craig Anderton, who is joining Gibson Guitars.

From 1998 through 2009, Robair held several editorial jobs at Electronic Musician, including Editor In Chief. He is an accomplished musician who has performed and recorded with Tom Waits, Anthony Braxton, Nina Hagen, and the ROVA Saxophone Quartet.

As a writer about music technology, Robair has contributed to Mix, RemixGuitar Player, and Electronic Musician. He is the author of two books, including The Ultimate Personal Recording Studio.

"I'm thrilled to be back at Electronic Musician," says Robair. "I've always enjoyed its focus on technology and creativity and its application-oriented content. I'm looking forward to helping further expand its gear coverage."

Robair will direct technology coverage for the magazime. Anderton, who coined the term “electronic musician” and was one of the magazine’s co-founders, will continue penning his popular “Craig’s List” column and retain a role as an advisor.
