Lexicon Windows, Mac Software Drivers for I-ONIX Series

August 25, 2009

With the new 64-bit Windows driver, these interfaces now operate on computers running Windows 64-bit XP and Vista operating systems. The new Mac driver improves performance and now supports all Mac computers operating on OS 10.4.9 or higher, regardless of whether they are based on a PowerPC or Intel processor.

The I∙ONIX Series feature newly designed dbx microphone preamps on all analog inputs. The preamps are driven by a 60-volt, high-voltage supply. Ultra-high-definition converters ensure 24-bit/96kHz audio.

Each of the three I∙ONIX models allows for a different level of recording capability. The U22 can record two channels simultaneously and includes two analog mic/line inputs with +48V phantom power, two balanced line outputs, a hi-Z instrument input, a ¼-inch high-power headphone output and MIDI I/O. The U42S records four analog and two digital channels simultaneously, and the U82S can record eight analog and two digital channels. In addition, the U42S and U82S include four and eight mic/line inputs, respectively, stereo S/PDIF, two instrument inputs and two ¼-inch headphone outputs. Each interface is bundled with Cubase LE 4 and the Pantheon II reverb plug-in.
