At Musikmesse 2009, Solid State Logic (SSL) announced Pro-Convert version 5.5 ($349) for Apple Mac computers. This version of Pro-Convert allows Mac users to exchange projects between DAWs and offers a new user interface for the application.

Use Pro-Convert to convert session files from one format to another. The Mac version supports most workstation formats, including Digidesign ProTools 7.x, Steinberg Cubase and Nuendo, Apple Logic and Final Cut Pro, and SSL Soundscape.

For the time being, the new user interface is for the Mac version only; however, PC users can expect the interface to be available in Fall 2009. The new interface features a single control window from which all project settings can be manipulated, as well as the ability to save conversion presets, which enables users to return to frequently used project configurations quickly and efficiently.

Pro-Convert for Mac will be available in May 2009. For more information, please visit solid-state-logic.com.
