As we approach the halfway point of 2014, it’s become increasingly clear to all that The Glitch Mob are in the midst of a very special year. Having hit the number one spot in the Billboard Dance/Electronic chart in February with their groundbreaking and genre-changing album, Love Death Immortality, the LA-based trinity followed it all up with one of the standout sets at Coachella last month, with Rolling Stone hailing it as one of ‘The 50 Best Things
’ they saw over the two weekends.
Now, The Glitch Mob are taking their ‘Love Death Immortality’ show on the road to Europe for all to see. With 10 dates confirmed for the tour this May, which began last night at a raucous sold-out Flex in Vienna, the group will perform at some of the continent’s most revered venues, with Roxy in Prague, La Machine in Paris and The Forum in London just a few of the highlights scheduled over the coming weeks. The trio will then be heading back stateside, before returning to European shores in August for festival season, with performances at the likes of Rock Altitude & Open Air Gampel (Switzerland), Frequency (Austria), Wartesaal Am Dom (Germany) and Reading & Leeds (UK).
With stage and visual design crafted by the one and only Martin Phillips at Bionic League (whose past work has included designs for Kanye West, Deadmau5 and Daft Punk), and the tech wizards at Name The Machine behind the masterful stage platform, The Glitch Mob have once again proved that their live experience has and will always be the most essential part to their multi-faceted arsenal of talents.
As LDI enters its fourth month in circulation, the album continues to receive widespread recognition and prestigious reviews from critics around the globe. 'Becoming Harmonious' has certainly proved to be an all-star second single, having gained some standalone attention of it's own. The track is featured in the Official Trailer for Tom Cruise's new action movie, ‘Edge of Tomorrow
’, which has already received over 2 million views on YouTube. This follows the official trailer that The Glitch Mob scored for Robert Rodriguez's ‘Sin City
’ with ‘Can’t Kill Us’.
