Audiofile Engineering Releases Wave Editor 1.4

Audiofile Engineering has released version 1.4 of its Wave Editor (Mac; $79) audio editing application.

Wave Editor offers the capability to edit audio in layers, as well as Native support for AU and VST plug-ins, Bezier curve-based fades, support for multichannel files, the ability to combine different file types/sample rates/bit-depths in a single file, configurable level meters, a built-in spectrograph and stereograph, customizable document templates, iZotope sample rate conversion and dither, and more.

Version 1.4 adds a number of new features, including Native support for VST effect plug-ins, Audio File First Aid, an expanded DDP export functionality, and the following workflow enhancements: DDP MD5 checksums, PQ and Cue Sheet export, keyboard shortcut presets, user-customizable split-file naming support, smoother and faster performance, improved meters, and new contextual menu items.
