Cakewalk Releases Free SONAR 8.0.1 Update and Beatscape 1.0.1 Update

Cakewalk, the world's leading developer of powerful and easy to use products for music creation and recording, today announces availability of a free update for SONAR 8 Producer and SONAR 8 Studio. Coinciding with the SONAR 8.0.1 Update, Cakewalk has also released an update to the Beatscape loop performance instrument to enhance user experience. Beatscape is one of the many instruments included in SONAR 8 Producer. The SONAR 8.0.1 update and the Beatscape 1.0.1 Update, both for Windows XP and native Vista (32-bit & 64-bit) versions of SONAR 8 Producer and SONAR 8 Studio, are available as free downloads for registered SONAR 8 customers at

The SONAR 8.0.1 Update adds new usability enhancements, along with numerous plug-in and component optimizations. In addition, the update addresses various performance issues across the entire application which were reported by customers after SONAR 8's initial release.
