A beta of Audition for Mac is expected to be available on Adobe Labs in winter 2010. Mac users can sign up to be notified when the Audition beta is available.

The currently available version of Adobe Audition 3 offers an audio editing environment for fine-tuning single files or creating multitrack mixes. It also delivers audio restoration tool. All of the currently available capabilities are planned to come to Mac users in the next release of Adobe''s professional audio editing tool.

Key innovations in Adobe Audition for Mac include native multichannel support for 5.1 surround sound; noise reduction and restoration capabilities; and new audio effects, including de-hummer, de-esser and volume leveler.

Adobe Audition 3 is available for Windows today for an estimated street price of U.S. $349 for the full version, with upgrades available from an estimated street price of U.S. $99.
