DigiDays Audio Technology Festival Under Way in Montreal

Using three world-class rooms and holding special events at some of Montreal's finest facilities (including the Oscar-winning National Film Board and Audio Z, one of Montreal's top commercial studios), this week-long audio bash will present the latest Digidesign technologies and the strongest offerings from Digidesign Development Partners. Digidesign will also be showcasing the all-new ICON D-Command medium-format console for the first time in Canada.

Special guest speakers will discuss their craft and cover a range of topics from MIDI sequencing to IMAX film mixing. Speakers include film mixer Gavin Fernandes, this year's Genie award winner for best film sound, and Alfio Annibalini, one of Toronto's hottest music mixers.

Product specialists from all across North America will offer their expertise on a vast array of products from McDSP, Native Instruments, IK Multimedia, M-Audio, Waves, Eventide, URS, BIAS, Metric Halo, Resolution Audio, SoundToys, Soundminer, GRM Tools, Avid, Sony, Universal Audio, Cedar Audio, and Digidesign.

There will also be a tradeshow area where you can get your hands on the latest software and hardware tools while having your questions answered by some of the best product specialists in the industry.

In addition, on Thursday, May 12, there will be an industry event reserved to members of Quebec's professional audio association, AsPrAudio.
