Image Line Software has released the new sample collection called The Sounds of India ($89).

This 1.5 GB library offers more than 835 sampled sounds, including that of 36 instruments and 2 vocals. According to the manufacturer, it covers the foundations of the classic Indian sound—Tabla, Sitar, Shenai, Harmonium, and Bamboo Flute—as well as South Indian instruments such as Veena, Ganjira, and Maddalam; and rare Indian folk instruments, including Edakka, Udukku, and Darbuka. The library also includes sampled sounds from many different temple bells and ethnic percussions. Click for a full list of the included instruments.
