Kong Audio has released ChineeSheng: The Mouth Organ of Concord (Win XP/Vista; $60), the latest addition to the Chinee series of sound collections.

The Sheng is a very old, well-recognized free-reed, mouth-blown instrument that still plays a vital accompaniment role in today's Chinese music. The ChineeSheng collection captures the recorded performances of professional performer, composer and professor He Yuan.

This collection includes 270 MB of sample sets recorded in 24-bit, 96 kHz quality and contains a variety of articulations and expressions, including long tones, vibratos, spit tongues, roll tongues and chorus. ChineeSheng works in VSTi-compatible hosts.
