Korg Legacy Collection Series for Download

By | Thu, 18 Nov 2010

Starting in 2004, Korg introduced software creations of its synthesizers, as various titles of the Legacy Collection Series. Now, each of those titles is available as a separate download at a considerable savings. With access to the original circuit diagrams and sound programming, Korg has re-created these classics in a way that is faithful to the original model.

Each soft synth uses Korg''s proprietary CMT (Component Modeling Technology) to reproduce the sound and response of the original. CMT also reproduces the character and response curve of each parameter.

Now available for download are software re-creations of the following classic Korg synths: M1 Music Workstation, Mono/Poly, Wavestation, Polysix and MS-20. Also available for download is the MDE-X Effects Suite. Originally part of the first Korg Legacy Collection, this suite provides 19 high-quality effects derived from Korg''s digital recorders, workstations and synthesizers, and is designed to run as a stand-alone program or as a VST, AU or RTAS plug-in for use with nearly any DAW.

As a bonus, a free Legacy Cell download is also available for those who purchase both the MS-20 and Polysix, along with the MDE-X Effects Suite. Legacy Cell enables combinations of the MS-20 and Polysix synthesizers to be blended with two insert effects and two master effects, and used as a single software synthesizer that provides new sounds and textures.

All synths operate as stand-alone or VST/AU/RTAS plug-in instruments and are Mac (including MacIntel) and Windows compatible. Users can pick one, grab all their favorites or download the entire collection at a special price.

All downloads are available for purchase at www.korguser.net.
