By | Thu, 13 Oct 2011

Mackie has unveiled the dXb.400, a digital recording console that includes a dual touch-screen interface, support for 96 and 192 kHz audio, on-board automation and DSP, 25 100 mm Penny+Giles optical faders, a configurable I/O card cage, and a FireWire I/O card. The board is compatible with select VST plug-ins and offers Mackie Control support.

The dXb.400 has a 96 x 96 channel I/O matrix at 96 kHz, with an additional eight channels of processing. At 192 kHz, this is reduced to a 48 x 48 channel matrix. The dXb.400 is also equipped with surround mixing and monitoring functionality, including a 24-bus architecture, flexible panning, bus/return switching to an assignable speaker matrix, and fold-down monitoring.

The dXb.400 ships with a pre-loaded Universal Audio UAD-1 Powered Plug-ins Card, which includes the Teletronix LA-2A and 1176LN compressor plug-ins. For more information, visit www.mackie.com.
