MOVEK myMix

By | Thu, 13 Oct 2011

Debuting at NAMM is MOVEK's (booth 3590, Hall D) myMix, a personal cue mixer with built-in multitrack recording storage for studio recording/live performance/rehearsal applications. MOVEK is a new company founded by former Telex Group president Mathias von Heydekampf.

A myMix system can provide up to eight individual stereo mixes with up to 16 channels of networked audio over standard Ethernet hardware. Musicians can create their own personal cue mix using a simple, user-friendly interface and color LCD screen where all input channels appear as separate named channels with control over volume, tone, pan and effect levels. Additionally, with the press of a button, up to 16 individual channels and a stereo mix can be stored onto an SD or SDHC card. The stored recorded audio tracks can then be imported into any recording software for overdubs, mixing and mastering.

Dual inputs accommodate dynamic and condenser microphones (with switchable phantom power), as well as line-level sources. Dual balanced line-level outputs and a stereo 3.5mm jack allow using myMix with headphones, in-ear monitors, stage monitors or main P.A. systems. Systems with more than two units connect via standard Ethernet switches. myMix units can be powered with the included external power supply or from a power-over-Ethernet (POE) switch. myMix uses the new Ethernet AVB protocol ensuring compatibility with the next generation of computer networking devices. For convenience, myMix can mount on any microphone stand with the included adapter

Multiple applications include rehearsals, concerts, recording sessions, live recording, songwriting, archiving and house of worship.
