Zone "Hands-On Training Friday, January 25, 201311:00 am - 12:30pm Room: 204 BRuss Berger is president of Russ Berger Design Group (RBDG) and directs the firm's design of audio recording, broadcast and television studios, residential theaters, entertainment facilities and technical learning environments for higher education. With over 2,500 designs to his credit, Russ' client list includes Blade Studios, Paragon Studios, NFL Network, Apple, NFL Films, Sweetwater, MTV, MasterMix, Sony Music Entertainment, ABC, NBC, National Public Radio, and private studios for Steve Miller, Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, Jennifer Hudson and John Fogerty. In recognition of his work, the industry has presented him with eight TEC Awards for technical excellence and creativity in acoustics and studio design. Peter Grueneisen is the sole owner and principal of nonzero\architecture and a founding partner of studio bau:ton, which is now the media production facility design division of nonzero\architecture. Trained in Switzerland and in the US, he has a Masters degree in Architecture from SCI-Arc and is licensed in several states. Over the last twenty-four years he has designed and built hundreds of studios, from large-scale corporate facilities to personal home studios. He is a TEC Award- winner for studio design and AIA honor award winner for his architectural projects. Andy Munro founded Munro Acoustics in 1980 and has established a reputation for design, research and project management in all aspects of audio and acoustical engineering. Munro co-founded Dynaudio Acoustics in 1990 and in 2010 launched a design project to develop the now familiar Egg monitor speaker system. With over 1000 completed design and consultancy jobs across four continents, the Munro team has a huge database of room designs and acoustic solutions.Vincent van Haaff, a native of the Netherlands, studied architecture, theatre acoustics and sound production before his initial work at famed Electric Lady Studio in NYC and the establishment of his Waterland Design group in 1980. Since then he has designed and supervised the building of over 300 music recording studios in Los Angeles, New York, Atlanta, Miami, Las Vegas, Chicago, Vancouver, Tokyo, Paris, London, Milan, Rome, and elsewhere. A TEC Award-winner, some of his his more notable projects include A&M Studios (now Henson Recording), Sony Music Studios, Conway Recording, Record Plant, and Universal Music/Interscope.Mr. BonzaiAward-winning photographer, filmmaker and music journalist Mr. Bonzai has written over 1,000 articles for magazines in the U.S., Europe and Asia.
