Musikmesse 2010: Elektron Octatrack

By | Thu, 25 Mar 2010

With the Octatrack, users can record sounds via the intuitive user interface. One the samples are inside the machine, users can cup up and rearrange the samples in real time. The samples will stay in sync no matter if they are pitch-shifted or if the tempo of the sequencer is changed.

Single sounds can be molded into any shape or form. The Compact Flash card allows for huge amounts of samples to be constantly accessible. Use the USB port to transfer sample libraries between a computer and the Octatrack. The optical fader can be assigned to any of the parameters.

Other features include eight stereo tracks, four audio inputs, four audio outputs, a separate headphone output, optical fader, improved Elektron sequencer and two effect blocks per tracks.

Estimated release Q4, 2010.
