Native Instruments Releases Kontakt 2.2 Including Universal Binary Support

By | Wed, 25 Oct 2006

Handling of sliced loops in KONTAKT 2.2 is now more flexible and convenient due to new drag-and-drop and in-sync preview functionality. Group management has also been improved with a load/save function, 128-voice groups and new group presets.

The KSP engine now offers additional functions that allow for an even wider range of creative scripting usage, while new modulation, tuning and envelope features expand the unrivalled sound shaping capabilities of KONTAKT 2.

The powerful Universal Import function in version 2.2 now supports five additional formats, which underscores the role of KONTAKT 2 as the most compatible sampler on the market.

The 2.2 update for Windows and Mac is now available as a free download for all registered users of KONTAKT 2 on the NI website.

For installation on a Intel-based Macintosh computer, a Universal Binary license code can be purchased for $ 29 / 25 Euro in the NI Online Shop. Customers who first registered KONTAKT 2 after September 12th, 2006, are eligible for a free Universal Binary license code.

A new KONTAKT 2 demo based on version 2.2 will also available for download shortly.
