Novation Announces SpeedIO Trackmaker

By Gino Robair | Thu, 13 Oct 2011

Novation has announced the SpeedIO Trackmaker (Mac/Win), an audio and MIDI interface offering two channels of audio I/O through a single USB cable (which also powers the unit). Each audio input is a combo jack that accepts an XLR and 1/4-inch input. Phantom power is available from each input.

The SpeedIO Trackmaker includes independent gain controls with overload LEDs and 20 dB boost switches for each channel, and separate controls for headphone and line output. The Monitor control allows for real-time audio monitoring and low-latency audio playback.

The SpeedIO Trackmaker ships with OS X and Windows XP drivers, Steinberg Cubasis, the Novation Bass Station (VSTi/AU) plug-in synth, and Novation Live, a lite version of Ableton Live. For more information, visit novationmusic.com. (http://www.novationmusic.com).
