Apogee has announced a Universal Binary PCI-Express driver for Symphony's 32-channel PCI-Express card. Mac Pro users can download the new driver here.

Cycling '74 has updated Soundflower (Mac OS X) with Universal Binary support. Version 1.2 is a freeware system extension that allows you to route and monitor audio between Core Audio applications.

E-mu is shipping the Platinum 88 Grand Piano Sound Library ($149.99) for Emulator X and Proteus X. Platinum 88 uses a sampled Steinway Model L grand piano and features 12 layers of samples for each of the piano's 88 keys. Overall, the sound library has over 7 GB of 24-bit grand piano samples.
