Digidesign is shipping Strike ($299), a new RTAS virtual drum plug-in for Pro Tools HD, LE, and M-Powered systems. Strike comes with 5 drum kits which contain 12 drum sounds and have up to 300 samples per instrument. It also has a built-in multi-channel mixing console.

Eliosound has introduced AirEQ (Mac OSX/Win; $269), a new equalizer based on Eliosounds' AMLT (Analog Matched Linear Transform) filtering technology. AirEQ is available in VST, AU, and RTAS plug-in formats. You can download the demo version here.
