At the 126th AES convention in Munich, Sonic Studio will preview a number of new products, including the secureDDP application, the Amarra computer music player, a new version of Quartet DynPEQ and a bundle for DSD production.

What is secureDDP? It's a Mac application that encrypts existing DDP file sets for safe and secure delivery over public computer networks. SecureDDP offers 128-bit encryption and supports DDP file sets from SADiE, Eclipse, DCA and Merging, as well as from Sonic Studio''s product lines. Expect secureDDP to be available on June 15 through Sonic Studio''s eStore.

Amarra is a turnkey system for computer playback of high-resolution files. According to the manufacturer, Amarra combines the precision of the SSE (Sonic Studio Engine) with the power of Sonic Studio hardware and easy operation of Apple iTunes.

At AES, the company will also demo soundBlade 1.3.3, soundBlade 2 and Wholegrain Digital System''s Quartet DynPEQ dynamic energy-shaping plug-in for soundBlade 1.1.

In other Sonic Studio news, the company has announced that PreMaster CD 3.0.3 offers DDP File Open, the option to load back and modify existing DDP file sets. DSD Converter, a bi-directional transcoder that converts DSD and LPCM data, is now available as a package with PreMaster CD.
