Sonorous Code Announces Atmogen

By | Wed, 14 Apr 2004

Sonorous Code has announced Atmogen, a standalone software additive synthesizer that generates sounds based on images. The results can be saved as audio files.

Depending on the height of the project's image, up to 1024 oscillators can used simultaneously. Each oscillator in a project uses a global and adjustable waveform, which, in the simplest case, is a sine wave.

Atmogen provides a collection of specialized tools for creating and modifying images, and the company adds that the program's GUI is reminiscent of image-processing software. A demo version and more information can be found at www.sonorouscodes.net.
