To complement our expanding, versatile line of audio preamplifiers, we're unveiling our latest addition at this weekend's AES show -- the
THAT1583. Our high performance current-feedback amplifier is suitable for differential microphone preamplifier and bus summing applications. It improves on previous, traditional current-feedback designs by offering a more versatile configuration that can yield lower noise at low gains, lower distortion overall and higher slew rate.

Incorporating a high-performance voltage-controlled amplifier (VCA) and true RMS-responding level sensor, the surface mount part is aimed at battery-operated audio applications, including dynamics processors. It also provides companding noise reduction for wireless microphones and wireless instruments.
