VocalTuning.com Announces Launch of Online ‘Vocal Tuning’ Service

November 27, 2007

“With the Vocal Tuning web site it is now possible for any singer or musician to get their vocal files sounding perfectly on-key without any experience,” said sound engineer James Kinnear. “It is no longer necessary to get to grips with plug-ins such as Auto-Tune and Melodyne, which require practice and experience to get any kind of results.

“Clients send their vocal files to the studio via the web site and receive the results back within 24 hours. The service was set-up with this simple approach in mind.”

The process of vocal tuning is used by professionals for the majority of commercial releases heard on the radio, from Britney to Nickleback. Many require “fine tuning” to polish and perfect notes that fall slightly flat. In addition vocal tuning can even be used to make a tone-deaf singer hit all the right notes.

VocalTuning.com is the first online service dedicated exclusively to vocal tuning. The concept was devised by twins James and Jonathan Kinnear, both graduates from university with Music Technology degrees looking to set up an innovative new service. The Web site now consists of a small team of dedicated engineers, all with vast experience in the music industry, having produced, tuned and edited vocals for releases on many labels around the world.
