EastWest and Zero-G have announced two new products. Akoustic Bass Hitz (Mac/Win in Kontakt, REX, and WAV formats; $99.95) is a DVD-ROM featuring over 1.5 GB of samples by acoustic bassist Chip Jackson. Sounds of the 70s is a virtual sound module that uses the Native Instruments Intakt player.
The Akoustic Bass Hitz category names suggest the musical styles covered in this collection: Retro Lounge, Hip Hop, Latin, Rock-a-Billy, Dance, Zydeco, Acid Jazz, Fast Jazz, Abstract Jazz, Swing, Folk, Heavy Metal, Reggae, Ska, Bow & Voice lix, Acoustik Fuzz Bass, just to name a few. Akoustic Bass Hitz includes 38 construction kits, 893 REX2 loops, and 957 WAV files.
Powered by Native Instruments Intakt, Sounds of the 70s (Mac/Win; $299.95) offers construction kits, grooves, hits, and instruments.
