Major improvements include a new sample streaming core with unlimited bounce polyphony, optimized voice sharing, reduced memory usage per instance as well as a velocity histogram, loading bar and voice display. Some of the new features include the slot mixer with four Patch slots (articulations) per Cell, Auto Cell Naming, individually assignable velocity crossfades to patches as well as a built-in algorithmic reverb.

The new Vienna Instruments player is fully compatible with all existing Vienna Instruments Collections and Single Instruments. Registered users may download the new versions from the Vienna Symphonic Library website, free of charge. Registered users may download the new version from their User Area, anytime and free of charge. In an effort to make the migration as easy as possible, eight new video tutorials are available at the Vienna Symphonic Library website, explaining the new features in detail. The former Vienna Instruments “Classic” software is still available in the company’s archive but will not longer be updated. In addition, both Vienna Instruments PRO and Vienna Ensemble PRO have been recently updated.
