Welcome to high-quality Euro trance, with loops that crackle with energy and don’t stray from trance’s signature sounds: Big/squishy drums, arpeggiated/elastic synth bass lines, analog synth chord stings, and the occasional fx or piano. The end result is a solid, driving rhythm section; find a diva vocalist and add a couple leads—done. And as the title indicates, these loops are remix-ready for when you want to deconstruct something and dancify it. The sounds are intelligently processed, which lets them slide easily into remixes and also makes it easy to throw original projects together fast.

The 38 construction kits (33 in minor keys—typical for trance) average 15 loops each, with one mixed demo file per kit. Tempos range from 123 to 145BPM. Drum tracks are presented as mixed files, but also with elements broken out individually in a separate folder within each kit—great for mix ’n’ match drum parts, which is aided by the excellent (really!) stretch editing. However, there are lots of different keys, so the success of transposing melodic parts depends on the quality of your pitch-stretch algorithms.

I use trance in much of my audio-for-video work, and was starting to wear out Sony’s Trance NRG sample CD. Remix Revolution does exactly what I need—I’m set for quickie soundtracks for at least another year with this baby.
