Dr. Robert Moog receives a Technical Grammy award

LOS ANGELES - On Tuesday, February 26th, the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences presented a Technical Grammy award to Robert Moog, inventor of the Moog synthesizer, for his contributions of outstanding technical significance to the recording field. Dr. Moog built his first synthesizer in 1963, and in 1969 unveiled the highly influential performance synth, the Minimoog. Today, Dr. Moog designs and builds musical instruments for his company Big Briar.
