Moog Music introduced two very interesting products at the Winter NAMM show: the Etherwave Pro theremin and a new Moogerfooger pedal called the MuRF.

The Etherwave Pro offers three pitch registers, as well as controls for waveform, brightness, and filter. In addition, it has a control voltage output and a tuner output. Like other Moog theremins, the pitch antenna is a straight vertical rod, and the volume antenna is a horizontal loop. Right-handed and left-handed models will be available.

The newest member of the Moogerfooger line, the MuRF, is based around an array of eight resonant bandpass filters. The panel layout is similar to a graphic EQ, with each slider dedicated to a specific frequency band. A pattern generator, with 12 patterns and a tap-tempo feature, controls the gain of each filter.

The company says that the audio processing is all analog, and that the unit is designed to withstand the rigors of stage and studio. The rear panel, like all Moogerfooger pedals, includes a variety CV options. For more information, visit the Moog Music Web site. (www.moogmusic.com)
