PreSonus Audio Electronics has announced that the AudioBox USB 2x2 USB recording system will ship in April 2008.

The USB bus-powered interface has two microphone/instrument preamps with 48V phantom power, two balanced TRS outputs, MIDI I/O, and a playback mixer knob on the front panel. Use the playback mixer knob to adjust the volume level between the tracks you are recording and your existing tracks. The AudioBox USB comes bundled with the PreSonus ProPak software suite that includes Steinberg Cubase LE 4 and a number of third-party plug-ins, loops, and drum samples.
