Roland Introduces Fantom-X Workstation Keyboards

Roland has introduced the Fantom-X series of workstation keyboards, which are availble in 61- (Fantom-X6), 76- (Fantom-X7), and 88-note Progressive Hammer-Action Keyboard (Fantom-X8) models. The Fantom-X workstations have the capacity to hold nearly 1 GB of wave data when fully expanded. Each model boasts a new sound ROM, room for 4 SRX expansion boardss, up to 544 MB of sample RAM, and a color LCD screen. This allows these workstations to play 4-tone Patches with 128-voice polyphony.

Fantom-X series instruments offer a host of Roland features, including the Dynamic Pad Bank (with improved gel pads), Skip Back Sampling, V-Link technology, COSM guitar amp modeling, and a Mastering processor.

Fantom-X series instruments include four 1/4-inch outputs, a stereo 1/4-inch input, S/PDIF digital I/O, MIDI In/Out/Thru, and a PC Card slot. They also include an onboard USB port for MIDI connectivity and file importing and exporting. For more information, visit
