TELEFUNKEN Elektroakustik has partnered with Indaba Music to present a monthly mixing contest: TELEFUNKEN Multi Track Sessions LIVE. Each month a new song recorded exclusively with TELEFUNKEN microphones, live on stage in front of an audience, is available for download as part of the mixing contest.
This month's contest features Rusted Root ( http://www.rustedroot.com ), a summer festival sensation known for its fusion of acoustic folk-rock and a percussion section that draws from African, Latin American, Native American, and Indian influences. They recently performed live for TELEFUNKEN, which is providing the live stems for the song "Ecstasy" for this month's mixing contest.
Submissions are due by July 23rd at 5PM. To enter, visit:https://beta.indabamusic.com/opportunities/telefunken-multitrack-sessions-live-mixing-contest-2-rusted-root-ecstasy/details
Last month's contest song was "Go Go Go," recorded live with Nicki Bluhm and the Gramblers. Thousands of contest participants submitted their mixes via the Indaba Music contest page. The top ten mixes were determined by popular vote, with winners chosen by the artist and TELEFUNKEN's staff members.
