Citi today announced the return of the original content series, Culinary Beats, a six-part entertainment series created in collaboration with Columbia Records and Backroads Entertainment. The second installment of the series premieres this month on Yahoo! Screen, Yahoo!'s video site, and Citi's YouTube channel, and will once again pair some of the country's best chefs with cutting-edge music acts as a platform to increase awareness of the Citi ThankYou® Preferred card's dining and entertainment benefits.

"The Culinary Beats series demonstrates the perfect symbiosis between food and music," said Elyssa Gray, Director of Creative and Media, NA Consumer Marketing, Citi. "The new episodes are immensely entertaining and artfully showcase the dining and entertainment elements our ThankYou Preferred cardmembers have a strong affinity for."

"We are thrilled to continue our partnership with Citi for the 2nd season of Culinary Beats," said Brian Nolan, Vice President Creative Agency at Columbia Records. "The show continues to be a unique platform for artists and chefs who have a shared passion for music and food."

Throughout the month of September, new episodes will be unveiled on Yahoo! Screen online and on the mobile apps for iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch and Android. The new installment of Culinary Beats will feature engaging conversations between the chefs and artists as they discuss their favorite places, culinary dishes, and interests. The journey will culminate at each of the chef's respective restaurants for a cooking demonstration, a meal and a performance. The two-part, 12-14 minute episodes were taped in New York and Los Angeles and showcase the diversity of the artists' experiences and will include a bonus music video and bonus video content. Episode pairings include:

  • Alex & Sierra and Hung Huynh (Catch)
  • Walk Off The Earth and Eric Greenspan (The Roof on Wilshire)
  • Aloe Blacc and Stag Dining
  • Ella Henderson and Jessica Koslow (SQIRL)
  • Foster The People and Josef Centeno (Baco Mercat)
