After detailing their new album Fading Frontier last week, Deerhunter have scheduled a run of U.S. shows following the worldwide release on October 16th via 4AD.

Additionally, Atlas Sound - Deerhunter frontman Bradford Cox's solo project - will be supporting Deerhunter through most U.S. and international dates. Full itinerary below.

Starting in Los Angeles a day later on the 17th, the four-piece (Bradford Cox, Lockett Pundt, Moses Archuleta and Josh McKay) will visit Portland, Seattle and San Francisco's Trasure Island before beginning a run of previously announced European shows.

The group will then hit the road for a more extensive U.S. tour, including sets in New York and Chicago, before concluding in Athens, GA in early 2016. U.S. dates will be on sale Friday (August 28), and you can see the full list below, including ticket links. European shows are on sale now.

Fading Frontier is the seventh studio album by Deerhunter, written in their hometown of Atlanta, GA, and with production duties shared by the band and Ben H. Allen III, continuing a collaboration that began with 2010's Halcyon Digest. You can read more about the album here. It is preceded by the official video for 'Snakeskin', directed by Valentina Tapia, which you can watch here.

Last week saw Pitchfork publish their extensive feature with the band - Beyond Nostalgia: A Conversation with Deerhunter's Bradford Cox - which you can read here.
