at the 5th Annual Bringin’ Down the House Event

Nationwide Program Comes to House of Blues in West Hollywood on April 28, 2015

Musicians Institute, the College of Contemporary Music in Hollywood, is proud to participate in the 5th annual Bringin’ Down The House program on April 28, 2015 at the House of Blues on the Sunset Strip. Created in 2010 by the House of Blues Music Forward Foundation, this nationwide program gives young musicians the chance to attend interactive workshops that teach them about the industry they’re passionate about.

All Bringin’ Down the House showcases are open to the public and free of charge. The performers in the Los Angeles edition include 29 Live, Eclectic Waves, Hoity-Toity, Nick Kandler, Sabrina Lentini & The Yip Yops. Details on each act can be found at

These showcases at House of Blues locations across the country start on April 6 in Dallas, and will continue in other participating cities including Houston, Boston, Chicago, Orlando, Las Vegas, New Orleans, and Los Angeles.

“Bringin’ Down the House is perfectly in line with what we dedicate ourselves to on a daily basis at Musicians Institute,” states Jessica Sullivan, Director of Marketing at Musicians Institute. “We inspire and train young people about what it takes to become professionals in the music industry, and our team jumped on the idea of supporting Bringin’ Down the House. It’s totally in alignment with our mission, and gives us the chance to collaborate with our partners and neighbors at House of Blues.”

Bringin’ Down The House gives high school students the unique opportunity to attend workshops taught by music industry pros, including Musicians Institutes Songwriting Instructor Robin Randall; as well as showcase their talents in front of influential audiences on the iconic stage at the House of Blues.

Thousands of young musicians between 13-19 years old are involved in the Bringin’ Down the House program. It started with workshops that were held in cities all over the United States, where approximately 350 finalists were chosen to participate in the national program during a six-week journey.
