San Francisco, CA - Outside Lands reveals details for GastroMagic, its wild stage devoted to magical mash-ups in food, breakdancing, comedy, music, and cocktails. The schedule can be accessed here and images from past GastroMagic performances can be found here.

GastroMagic invites fans to suspend their sense of reality and normalcy while stepping into a fantastic party. Located in the wooded wonderland that is McLaren Pass and neighboring BaconLand, the audience will find breakdancing and breakdowns, local comedians roasting Bay Area hipsters, food waste turning into culinary alchemy, a DJ set by Jillionaire from Major Lazer, a performance by Big Boi, a set devoted to The Police from members of Ra Ra Riot's alter ego cover band, A Humiliating Kick in the Crotch, and a Prince tribute. Culinary stars to look for from the Bay Area and beyond include Chris Cosentino, who will play host for all performances as "Master of Culinary Wonder," Stephanie Izard, Melissa King, Matt Jennings, Jon Shook, Vinny Dotolo, and Stuart Brioza while hot local eateries joining the lineup include Humphry Slocombe, Bar Tartine, Namu Gaji, Woodhouse Fish Co., Guittard Chocolate, and Belcampo Meat Co.

Cocktails will play a larger role in GastroMagic this year - Mother of Pearl's star mixologist Jane Danger, in from New York, presents her famous Shark Eye as DJ Jauz spins remixes, and Padrecito hosts a Bloody Mary bash, Sunday Bloody Mary Sunday, to the tunes of a U2 cover band. In a nod to the Summer Olympics, San Francisco-based ChefsFeed will host a Culinary Olympics Throwdown, and as Gastro Magic's official media partner, ChefsFeed will also capture the stage's wildness, posting all content on their digital and social channels: www.chefsfeed.com; @chefsfeed on Twitter, Instagram and Snapchat.

The current GastroMagic lineup is as follows; for updates to the schedule please check www.sfoutsidelands.com/gastromagic and the Outside Lands mobile app.

CUESA's very own Marcy Coburn will guide San Francisco star chefs Cortney Burns, Sophina Uong & Michelle Polzine through an Iron Chef-style competition to create a winning masterpiece from food waste. Using discarded items from Outside Lands' favorite food vendors, along with some of the ugliest produce the city has to offer, the chefs will attempt true culinary alchemy. DJ David Lee, one half of hip-hop duo Golden Age (and co-owner of Namu Gaji) will be keeping the kitchen hot with a tasty trash fire DJ set.

Every Little Thing She Does Is... Gastromagic with Chef Melissa King

and Ra Ra Riot Covering The Police
