Featuring Live Vocal Performance From Jess Glynn and John Newman

July 29 at Royal Albert Hall, London

The annual BBC Proms - an 8-week concert season of orchestral concerts at London’s Royal Albert Hall-will host a very special performance in conjunction with dance music icon and legendary BBC Radio 1 host Pete Tong. The event will consist of a live orchestra performing a history of Ibiza dance tracks, personally curated by Pete and arranged by Jules Buckley from the Heritage orchestra. Vocals from Jess Glynne and John Newman add to the unique spectacle.

“In this Prom, we are re-imagining some of the most enduring dance music tracks in the history of dance music and I’m very excited to help curate and guide that -as well as presenting. During the night, we’ll be re-working classics including Rhythm is Rhythm’s ‘Strings Of Life’ and Stardust’s ‘Music Sounds Better With You.’” - Pete Tong

This special event serves as a celebration of 20 years of radio and live broadcasting from the world’s dance music capital, Ibiza. The Late Night Prom will be broadcast live on Radio 3, and there will be television broadcasts on BBC One, Two, Four and CBBC.
