Broadcast Architecture’s Smooth Jazz Network announced today that it will air the World Premiere of the new album Soldier Of Love from Sade, the weekend of February 6th, prior to its retail release date next week. The nationally broadcast world premiere is being produced and distributed by the Smooth Jazz Network® and will be hosted by Smooth Jazz Top 20 Countdown creator and host Allen Kepler.
The program will also feature behind the scenes commentary from Sade throughout the one-hour special. Sade shares insight as to her process in creating an album, the thread or theme of the release and personal feelings about her musical journey and dealing with fame.
Over 40 radio stations across the U.S. have already signed on to carry the world premiere. On February 6, radio listeners and fans will have the rare opportunity to hear the CD in its entirety, along with Sade’s commentary, prior to the release date of February 9, 2010. This is the first CD to be released by Sade since her 2000 CD “Lover’s Rock”.
Allen Kepler, the host of the internationally syndicated show “Smooth Weekend” commented “We’re thrilled to be among the first in the world to debut this amazing new album. We’ll be playing all ten songs from Sade’s first release of new music since 2001. I know her fans are eager as me to hear it!”
The first single “Soldier Of Love” is the first song to ever debut at #1 in monitored airplay and also the first vocal track to hit #1 on any monitored Smooth Jazz radio chart. “Soldier Of Love” debuted at #1 the first weekend in January on the Smooth Jazz Top 20 Countdown, which is heard in 40 markets around the world and based on audience reach figures from Mediabase.
